I mean, I don’t want to disparage anybody’s strategy without knowing a lot more. Engagement is good, but it doesn’t pay the bills, so to speak. I’d much prefer a solid strategy for converting that engagement into revenue, which a something a lot of former Internet startups never did or did too late. Getting a lot of users/customers is hard, and that should be celebrated. But getting a lot of paying users/customers is even harder, and that’s the goal.
