Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying “hire only contractors.” The expectation is that, barring anything that would exclude fit on either side, the candidate becomes a full time employee at the end of 60 days. If a person is going to let the 60-days be the deal-breaker between your company and another position, you have to ask yourself, are they really looking for a job at YOUR company? Or are they just looking for the next best job they can get? We were very careful about only hiring people who were there for the mission, not just a job and not just a salary.
